The Efficiency of Rehabilitation after Total Hip Replacement in Children

ABSTRACT

Reviewed the treatment of 40 patients with deforming coxarthrosis stage III. All patients were performed total hip arthroplasty.The patients were divided into 2 groups. The main group consisted of 30 children (boys – 9, girls – 21) receivingcomprehensive rehabilitation treatment at the developed by us methods, including therapy (Artromot K1), static – dynamicexercises in the first two days of the postoperative period, exercise and the use of gymnastics tape and exercise ball (withoutusing weights). Patients in the control group (boys – 3, girls – 9) received restorative treatment on the standard scheme ofrehabilitation of patients after hip replacement. As a result of application of the developed algorithm marked a significantimprovement in the support function of the operated limb, the load distribution on the foot, as well as improvement ofstatokinetic system.
