Rehabilitation diagnosis in the pathology of the musculoskeletal system using categories of the international classification of functioning (discussion)

ABSTRACT

In accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization should be used to assess the structure, function,activity and participation categories given in the International Classification of Functioning (ICF). The dimension of anumber of generally accepted scales to describe disorders of the musculoskeletal system does not coincide with the ICF. Inthis paper, an attempt is made to eliminate this contradiction. To describe a number of disorders that affect the function ofthe musculoskeletal system and are traditionally used in orthopedics, the category other or not described can be used. Inthe evaluation system given scale with the dimension adopted in ICF. This system can be used as a basis for establishing arehabilitation diagnosis, drawing up medical rehabilitation programs and assessing their effectiveness.
