ABSTRACT

Metabolic syndrome is one of the most common problems among population worldwide. Its prevalence is so significantthat it appears to spread like an epidemic disease. It is expected that the number of obese individuals worldwide is goingto increase. About 40% male and 50% female populations will be suffering overweight and obesity by 2025. Patients’lifestyle modification, including a controlled reduction of simple carbohydrates intake, personalized eating strategy basedon food-intolerance estimation, individual aerobic training and adequate supplementary support, can provide encouragingresults in improving overall health, weight loss and restoring normal metabolic parameters in patients with metabolicsyndrome.
