ABSTRACT

The use of suspension therapy for scoliosis, from 20 ° to 50 ° or more degrees (Cobb’s scale), allows to achieve the maximumpossible correction of the three-plane deformity of the spinal column in patients. And to conduct selective asymmetrictraining in the starting positions unattainable for methods of kinesitherapy with a stable support, while simultaneouslymobilizing scoliotic curves in preparation for wearing a Chêneau brace. This approach is successfully used in the Childrens Rehabilitation Center of Orthopedics and Traumatology “Ogonyok”,St. Petersburg, as an additional tool in the complex conservative treatment of 3D – spinal deformities.
